Jesus Christ! It's been over a year and a half since my last entry! That's so SAD.

I am going to make an honest to goodness effort to update more often.

I was cleaning out my room and came across an old folder that I used to keep a printed version of my livejournal.

Aside from the obvious narcissistic implications, I actually had an awesome time reading about my misadventures as an awkward sexually over active teenager with a penchant for leopard print chiffon.

I miss how "new" things used to feel. Driving, getting into dance clubs, going into "Manhattan". It seemed as though every day gave me several pages of material to keep this livejournal up and running.

Lately it's just been sort of......stagnant.

Go to school, feed the cats, stream some netflix, go to work and have sex with Michael on Sundays.

By the way Michael is the name of my "partner".

And don't get me wrong, I feel that at 29 (and fast approaching 30) I just don't have the energy to do some of the fun (and often stupid) things I used to do. There's also something comforting about monotony.

But reading the posts made me realize that I'd "forgotten" alot of my past. It was a nice refresher and to a certain extent, kind of made me feel like I was there again. It was a really nice feeling. For that reason I decided that I will try to upate my journal on a more frequent basis. In hopes that when I'm fast approaching 40 I look back and think about what a high energy unpredictable 30 year old I was.

It's been over a YEAR since my last entry?

I remember a time when I couldn't wait to post even the most of mundane life events. At some point that all changed.

To recap:

I'm in a 4 year relationship, and "civilly unionized" for the past year of it. I hate that term, but I also hate the term boyfriend, because It sounds like i'm a tween. I just call him my partner.

I'm working for UPS. Highly unexpected career choice given my early fashion-obsession. It pays the bills tho, and is pretty progressive since it insures both Michael (my partner) and myself. Plus it's also paying my way through school.

Life as of late has been so full of "changes". My sister had a baby, we bought a house, I moved from my "hometown". Things are good, but a part of me feels like it's moving too fast.

I do grown up things, but I still don't feel grown up. I don't know if I ever will. I still feel like the awkward 17 year old who started this blog, just 10 years older, 40lbs heavier, and none-the-wiser.

I wanna be a flower....not a dirty weed. [02 Nov 2008|06:48pm]

I already know what my New Year's resolution is going to be.

Fit into a Lycra Harley Quinn costume for Halloween of next year. It may take a team of 4 and industrial strength ducktape, but I'm going to make it happen. Like I made Man-clogs happen in 01'.

I have a strong suspicion that Michael is going to vote for John McCain, mostly because everytime I ask him, he says "I'm voting for Obama", but he has shifty-eyes while he says it. And I have a feeling his response has more to do with self preservation than it does with the truth.

I wish there was a way I could go inside the booth with him, because even the suspicion that he's going to vote for McCain will make sex less enjoyable for me.

A kiss on the hand may be quite continental...... [24 Oct 2008|03:16pm]
Dear Liberals,

Shut the fuck up about Sarah Palin's 150,000 shopping spree.

Newsflash, we live in America. We should never begrudge someone for "doing well". It's the dream and principle that drives everyone.

Besides, between Ms Palin and her Mimbo husband, they made 250,000 dollars versus 4,000,000 Barrack and Michelle made. It's a talking point I'd expect from Republicans. It's an argument you can't win so shut the fuck up about it.

Stay on fucking message because I swear to god if you bleeding heart liberals lose one more presidential election I'm voting for Ron Paul......whether or not he's running.

Much Obligued,

Concerned faggot

So I'm 2 figures away from a complete DCAU collection.

Metallo and Volcana. When I get them, I will consider it my single most important accomplishment.

Yes I'm a nerd!

Shocker! [26 Sep 2008|01:20pm]
[ mood | amused ]

Clay Aiken came out.

Much to the shock of.......nobody.

I used to have a rabbid disgust for closetted public figures. I've since toned down my bitter hatred. It just bothers me when they take the route of going on record as stating that they are heterosexuals, a la' Clay Aiken, rather than simply graciously refusing the answer the question, a la Ricky Martin.

Claymates are so hopelessly deluded anyway, this will only strengthen their lonely resolve.

Watched the RNC tonight.

I'm amazed at Sarah Palin's speech. An hour long diatribe about how Obama has no plan, not a single reference to what she and McCain would do to improve the economy. Besides you know....taxing the health plans provided to us by our employers.......fucking snow-billy.

I hope Biden makes her cry at the debate.

Michael and I have been togther for almost 2 years.

Recently I've been getting very mad at Michael, over trivial things. I came to the realization that while he is mildly annoying in his own right, a lot of it has been blown out of proportion because I'm really angry at him for not taking our relationship to the next step.

Every big push in our relationship's momentum has always been initiated by myself. Our first date, exclusivity, getting the key to his apartment. Granted, these things have never been met with resistance, just indifferent accord, but I just don't want to also be the one to suggest we move in together.

I love him madly. I just don't want to be at the same exact point in our relationship a year from now.

Latinos love Hillary! [05 Mar 2008|05:22am]
[ mood | cheerful ]

I am elated to find that Hillary has taken Texas, Ohio, & Rhode Island. Truth be told her campaign will try to spin this as an awesome victory, when in actuallity the delegate count will remain virtually the same. These victories do however once again make her a viable candidate. I know alot of "anti-hillary" people. Most of my friends in fact. It seems as tho my generation has embraced Obama, and he's become the vogue democratic presidential candidate.

I feel the media, both liberal and conservative has always had a very clear anti-hillary sentiment. I appreciate Hillary for what she is. A tenacious, intelligent woman who's ambition seems to know no bounds. I think that if Obama had run against any other democratic contender I would be on the Obama-wagon too, but I just love me some Hillary.

I'm also very happy that Hillary's triumph in Texas is due in large part to the latino vote. She's always been very active in the community, and she's well liked. Infact the only positive coverage I ever seem to see regarding Ms. Clinton is on Univision.

I actually contributed to her campaign when I found out Obama was outspending her by almost a 2-1 margin. I didn't think it was fair. I may do so again. The gays love Hillary too, and she loves our expendible income.

I will ofcourse support whomever gets the democratic nomination. I'm bothered by my friends who say if she wins they'll vote republican. I think that's asinine. It's the political equivalent of "Well if you don't want to do what I want then I'm taking my toys and going home". People need to grow up.

I just joined the 21st century and got a flat-screen.

I'm watching Batman Beyond, and it's never looked so good.

In other news, i got my tuition reimbursement check in the mail today. I'm not exactly raking in the big-bucks at U.P.S., but it's part-time schedule/benefits mix are certainly worth it. In a few years I'll have a degree, and can finally persue my dream of being on reality TV.

Colors of the world [19 Feb 2008|01:38pm]
I saw the spice girls perform in Madison Square Garden last night. I don't attend very many concerts, but my nostalgia for Girl Power got the better of me, and I bought tickets. The venue was full of girls in their 20's (The teen girls who succame to girl power back in the 90's), and gay men of all ages, most of them wearing black T-shirts that read "SPICE BOY".

I felt kind of bad, because everytime that Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) would come on the huge teleprompter for one of her "solo's" the crowd would go WILD. Now I absoloutely ADORE Posh, she was always my favorite spice. However, even I could see that my admiration for her was never directly related to her talent, but rather the *glam-factor* that she always brought. So chic and cold. She was like a gay man in pumps.

Truth be told, I don't really consider any of the spices particularly talented. I accept and love them for what they were. A beautifully packaged pop phenomenon. However, that's not to say that some of them don't have a lot more to offer than Posh.

Geri (Ginger Spice) for example, is an excellent showman. Each of the Spice Girls got a chance to showcase 1 song from their solo efforts halfway thru the show. Ginger did her remake of The Weather Girl's "It's raining Men" that brought the house down. Not because she sang it particularly well, but because her mix of spunk, sass, and back up dancers had everyone on their feet having a grand ol' time.

If you're even slightly familiar with the Spice Girl's work, then you know that any part of a song that requires actual range always goes to Mel C. (Sporty Spice). Of all the Spice Girl solo efforts, hers was arguably the most succesful. Never having been one to mix singing with sex-appeal however, probably hindered her in the long run.

Furthermore, when it came time for Posh Spice's Solo, she catwalked to Ru-Paul's "YOU BETTER WORK". It was met with thunderous applause from the crowd, but It would've been nice if she'd atleast TRIED to sing. I felt cheated, but I must've been the only one.

I doubt that they'll ever perform as a quintette again. (Already rumors of spice-squabbles) are circulating the blog-o-sphere). But if they ever do, i'll be there, sans SPICE-BOY shirt.

[ mood | stressed ]

I'm amidst filing paper-work for tuition reimbursement thru work. It's so stressful. I hate reading directions, and deadlines. Deadlines are like my kryptonite.

On top of that, Michael and I are filing to become registered domestic partners in the state of New Jersey, so that's just more stress, and more deadlines.

We're domestic partners just doesn't sound as nice as we're husband and husband tho.

We're going to Venezuela in March. I have to look up flights/hotel packages. More stress....more deadlines.

Seeing Hillary Clinton make Ted Kennedy/John Kerry both look a fool in Massachusettes was orgasmic. Ted/Caroline and Co. have no business hawking Obama as "the next JFK". It's presumptuous and I'm glad voters let them know it.

Hillary taking California was great too..........having it be largely attributed to the disproportiante latino vote she got....well that was just gravy. Andale Hillary! Andale!

Tomorrow's my birthday, and all I really want is for Hillary to give Obama the political equivalent of an unlubed ass-rape.

I'm almost positive i'm going to have to snap at someone today at work for talking about this superbowl nonsense. Okay, i get it. Major upset. It's so mind numbing. For the past few weeks I keep getting pulled into these mundane "Cowboys Vs. Giants" debates at work. One of the drawbacks of having a blue-collar job. These guys lives "revolve" around this one event. I don't even get this excited about fashion-week.

Michael's coming home from India. He's been gone 2 and a half weeks. I've missed him SO much it hurt. I can't wait to get him home and release 2 and a half weeks of sexual frustration deep inside him.
